Lamborghini

Murciélago

History

Manual, V12, wedge - what more does one really want?

This Murciélago is a first generation European car in the striking colour of Giallo Orion with an interior in the welcoming warmth of Avorio Lillium. And maybe even more importantly - it is a manual. This makes it part of a breed that is soon not to be found any more: A proper manual supercar.

Two owners have cared enthusiatically for the car over its life of 28,000 kilometers and the cars presents beautifully in its original paintwork and it drives as tight as it looks.

Ownership history:
1st owner : French/Swiss client - sold out of the Swiss dealer Roland Affolter in Porrentruy.
2nd owner : Belgian client, chairman of the Lamborghini Club there - sold once again by Roland Affolter with 22,700 km

Full big service was done end of March 2019, with new tires and new wheels “Hercules”, option in 2004. The car and owner then took part in Lamborghini touring all over Europe in 2019 and had a terrific time - but of course the cars was then not driven much in corona-2020. Comes full compete with all books, pouch, little tools pouch, spare key sets and COC european homologation.

It is now looking for an enthusiastic third owner to enjoy it to the fullest once again.

About the model:

The Lamborghini Murciélago was named after a legendary fighting bull true to Lamborghini traditions. The sharp wedge shape and distinctive scissor doors opening upwards are also well known and much appreciated trade mark of a proper Lamborghini supercar.

The technology beneath the surface presented a huge leap ahead for Lamborghini, though: Electronically controlled air intakes behind the doors open automatically depending on engine temperature and cooling requirements. The rear spoiler is also automatic, deploying when the speed increases. Modern aerodynamic styling allowing top speeds of over 330 km/h.

The designer, Luc Donckerwolke, used the B-2 stealth bomber, the Wally 118 WallyPower yacht, and architect Santiago Calatrava’s Ciutat de les Arts situated in Les Ciències in Valencia, Spain, as his inspiration for the roadster’s revised rear and bonnet design. The body is made of a mixture of carbon fibre, steel and aluminium.

Not least there is the huge 6.2 litre V12-engine, developing 580 horsepower in this pure and early version. As it deploys the power though an efficient four-wheel drive the Murciélago is not only as fast as it looks, but also much more friendly and safe than anyone would guess at first glance of this spectacular machine. As such the Murciélago displays a great blend of modern and traditional Lamborghini virtues, and offer great value for money as well.
