History

Swedish car from new - just in - more description will follow.

About the model:
The Porsche 996 GT3 was introduced in 1999 as an addition to the Porsche 996 series.

This model was produced to achieve FIA homologation, which allowed Porsche to compete in the popular and coveted GT3 series. The model was also used in the popular Porsche Cup, which for many years has been the prelude to the Formula 1 races.

The Porsche 996 GT3 was available in two versions – Comfort or Club Sport – Club Sport being the most uncompromising model.

The Comfort was stripped to reduce weight and the following features were removed: sound-proofing, rear loudspeakers, sunroof, air conditioning, radio, etc. However, the radio could be ordered at no extra charge.

The Club Sport version (003) had bucket seats, racing roll cage, fire extinguisher and a main switch under the bonnet.

At the turn of the millennium, most customers chose the Comfort model, which makes the Club Sport the most sought-after today.

This car is a Comfort model but with sports seats ordered from the factory.
