Ford Focus RS500

Originally delivered new in Sweden and registered there on the 20th of December 2010. Basically never driven though, which tradition continued as the car was sold to a Danish collector in 2015. 

This rare Focus RS500 (no. 361 out of 500) therefore today presents as a new car: Still with only 25 kilometers on the odometer and the look, smell and feel of new car all over. 

A very rare opportunity for a collector. Or indeed for an Focus RS500-enthusiast who wants a new example of a car that went out of production as the last of the 500 was built.

About the model:

In March 2010, Ford introduced a special model of the Ford Focus called RS500 at the Leipzig Auto Mobil International exhibition. The intention was to produce only 500 numbered examples of this model.

Like the Focus RS, the RS500 was only available as a three-door version. The only difference to the exterior was the colour, which was matte black. However, the colour was not paint; it was a special foil film produced by 3M. The bodywork under this film was painted Panther Black metallic.

The interior featured RS500 Recaro bucket seats, covered in a black Alcantara-smooth leather mix. Extras included a navigation system with touchscreen and red leather sports seats, also from Recaro.

The engine was based on the engine from the Focus RS, which again was modified. In the RS500 it had a larger intercooler, enabling a higher compression ratio, a modified air filter and a different fuel pump, producing an output of 257 kW (350 hp). Torque also increased to 460 Nm.

Each RS500 carries a metal plaque on the centre console, hand-engraved with a unique identification number from 001 to 500.
