F12 TDF,

 Ferrari has sed  lots of variations when naming their exclusive vehicles, but there is always a meaning behind it, the TDF is not an exception. TDF stands for Tour de France, which was a Sports car race, which was held every year from 1899-1986. Ferrari Dominated this race from 1956-1964 in the now infamous 250 GT and 250 GTO. They decided to honor this race by naming the special version of the F12, the F12 Tour De France.

It´s not only the name there is true to Ferrari´s roots, so is the powertrain. It features a naturally aspirated 6,3 Liter V12 engine producing 679 hp, the sound and performance of that is something out of this world, and something we will probably sadly not see ever again.

The performance is no less impressive, with the 520 lb-ft of torque at 6,750 rpm going directly to the rear wheels thru a 7-speed F1 DCT dual-clutch transmission. These astonishing numbers result in the car going from 0-100 in just 2.9 seconds and 200 km/h will only take you 5 seconds more!

Driving the F12 TDF is an extraordinary experience like nothing else, letting the car control the gearshift gives the felling of it being a pleasant drive, but don’t let that fool you, When the driver takes over the control of the gearchanges and uses those paddle shifts as they are meant to be used you are left in nodoubt of the cars potential on a track.
