Selected Car Group appoints a renowned automotive specialist

Selected Car Group strengthens investment and sales with appointment of renowned car specialist. The connection between passion and performance is being further strengthened at the Danish Selected Car Group with the appointment of Anders Bilidt, who on 1 December will take up the position as Sales Director at Selected Car Investment. At the same time, Anders Bilidt will also assume the role of Head of Selected Car Collection.

The renowned car specialist is now joining Denmark’s largest leasing and investment group for premium cars, Selected Car Group. Here, he will help strengthen the commercial development and grow the group’s investment activities.

At Selected Car Investment, Anders Bilidt will become Sales Director with a focus on accelerating the company’s growth in the market for investment cars by strengthening relationships with investors and the wider network. In this role, he will be part of an ambitious international team responsible for relationship building, structuring deals and developing new commercial products – with a particular focus on international investors and strategic partners.

As former museum director for Haaning Collection and, most recently, recognized car specialist for the world’s largest auction house for car collectors, RM Sotheby’s, Anders Bilidt is, according to Selected Car Group CEO Jens Christian Tangbæk, the right person for the role.

Anders Bilidt has built a strong international network, and he brings a unique combination of professional expertise as well as both commercial and cultural understanding into Selected Car Group,” says Jens Christian Tangbæk.

Combining passion and returns
At the same time, Anders Bilidt will take up the position as Head of Selected Car Collection, where he will have overall responsibility for the development and positioning of one of Europe’s most exclusive private car collections. In both roles, Anders will also act as a key ambassador for Selected Car Group at auctions, exhibitions and events, both nationally and internationally.

In Selected Car Collection, Anders Bilidt will work closely with Flemming Rechnitzer, who has been involved since the collection began in 1990 and, as Commercial Director, is responsible for the operation and development of the collection’s facilities and events. Since the opening in 2017, more than 1,000 events and functions have been held for both Danish and international companies.

Anders Bilidt will have his day-to-day base in Middelfart, both at Selected Car Group’s car showrooms and at the headquarters of co-owner Selfinvest in Turbinehallen.
