The Porsche 911 GT2 is a sports car with the highest level of engine output that Porsche was able to squeeze out of the 911. Pinky Lai og Harm Lagaay were responsible for the design, which was based on the 911 Turbo. Consequently, the 911 GT2 inherited its engine with twin turbo. The GT2 is considerably lighter than the turbo model, since Porsche succeeded in reducing its weight by 100 kg compared to the 911 Turbo. Among other features, it has rear-wheel rather than four-wheel drive.
The GT2 combines the sportiness of the 911 GT3 with the equally magnificent road-holding qualities of the 911 Turbo. The GT2 was the fastest member of the 911 family when it was introduced: it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in an extremely fast 12.9 seconds. This crazy and almost scary acceleration does not stop until you run out of road, the speedometer hits 315 km/h or the driver loses courage. And there is certainly no lack of opportunity for making the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
This Club Sport model was specially designed for racing enthusiasts who like to compete on the track without having to modify their car. And, of course, the car has a roll cage, racing bucket seats and harnesses and is equipped with a fire extinguisher.
